The Student Council must deal with overall, strategic and principled matters within the following areas:
Attractive study town

Living conditions for students

Plans and projects that may affect the development of the study city

Profiling of the study city

 

The Student Council is a consultation and advisory body for the chairmanship and the municipal council, and can take up and investigate matters on its own initiative.
The Student Council must make a statement on behalf of the interest group in matters submitted for consideration.

Seats in the student committee are given to students from all higher education institutions in Stavanger municipality.
